Fellowship Hall Class

We find ourselves entering into Advent. This is the ‘awaiting with anticipation’ for the celebration of the arrival of our Holy Christ Child. However, this year, we are taking a different route in getting there.

Study: “God Commands Our Love, Respect, and Obedience” is taken from Deuteronomy, Joshua, Psalms, the Luke and Matthew.  We are shown time and again how God loves us. We are commanded to love God and to love others as we wished to bed loved as well as loving the same way we are loved.

Lifelong Learning Class

Study: “The History of Christianity: From the Disciples to the Dawn of the Reformation” (Great Courses Series). Learn about Christianity’s first millennium and a half and how Christianity is shaped by, and gives shape to diverse political and cultural worlds. In addition, the course will explore the more “religious” aspects of Christianity: its experiences and convictions, its beliefs and practices, its mode of worship and its manner of life.

Upstairs With a View Class

Study: “Advent Celebration”. Celebrate the joy of the Christmas season with fellowship, reflection, discussion, reading, fun and games – including an almost weekly dose of Christmas Trivia.

On Sunday, December 9, we will meet at Broadway United Methodist Church to provide and serve free Sunday lunch for Community Kitchen Guests.
